Un-four-gettable: Westphal Hits for Cycle Tuesday, April 28th , 2026 Carolina center fielder Josh Westphal had a field day at Cannon Ballers Field, battering Kannapolis pitchers and hitting for the cycle. Westphal sparked the Mudcats to a win, 14-6, over the Cannon Ballers by going 5-for-6 with 4 RBI and scoring 3 runs. "I was seeing the ball great today," Westphal said. "I'm glad it translated into results on the field." Josh Westphal singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Beau Willer in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th. Looking at his season stats, Westphal has compiled a .297 batting average and a .297 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 10 runs. |
