Fireflies Advance to Round 2 Monday, September 22nd , 2025 A classic and dramatic Round 1 has wrapped up, with the Columbia Fireflies outlasting the Augusta GreenJackets to advance to the Round 2. Columbia won the final game by a score of 11-3 and took the series 4-3. "We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Columbia catcher Brad Stack, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP. Stack hit .455 with a .471 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Columbia Fireflies will play against the Salem Red Sox in the next round. Salem won their series against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
