Shorebirds Pitching Ravaged by Rosa Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 It seemed that Kannapolis second baseman Marco Rosa could do no wrong as the Cannon Ballers KO'd the Shorebirds, 8-0. Rosa rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Shorebirds hurlers were throwing. "I think the Cannon Ballers were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Delmarva fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Rosa in the postgame press interview. Marco Rosa singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, Rosa is batting .322 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 146 at-bats, 8 walks and a .357 OBP. Rosa has played in 42 games. |
