He easily handled Hillcats pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Red Sox triumph, 11-1, at Lynchburg Grounds. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Peacock's quip, Hillcats skipper Travis Rosado said he "would take him up on that next time." Carson Peacock walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. On the year, Peacock is hitting .304 with 31 hits, 4 home runs, 18 RBIs, .360 OBP and has scored 18 runs. |
