Reliever May's Best Hurler in CAR Sunday, June 1st , 2025 It doesn't happen often, but it did in May. A reliever, Lyly Jortikka, is the recipient of the Carolina League Pitcher of the Month award. The Pelicans bullpen ace starred with 8 saves in 12 relief appearances with a 4-0 record, logging 11.1 innings, 13 strikeouts, 2 walks and a 0.79 ERA. In the 2025 season Jortikka has worked 13.2 innings in 15 relief appearances and earned 10 saves. He has dished out 16 strikeouts and walked 4 with a 4-0 mark and a 0.66 ERA. |
