McElroy Has Season End Sunday, June 22nd , 2025 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the Hickory Crawdads: closer Adam McElroy is out for the year. McElroy suffered a damaged elbow ligament on 06/20/2025. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official. This season, McElroy has crafted a 0-3 won-lost mark, pitched in 23 relief appearances and rung up 15 saves.
