Junker Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, May 14th , 2025 Rocket City first baseman John Junker could do no wrong in his team's 7-5 win over the Biscuits, as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Biscuits skipper Justin Bell said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Junker agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." John Junker doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Junker is currently hitting at a .410 pace with 1 home run and 7 RBIs. |
