Norman Slams 5 Hits for Birmingham Wednesday, April 23rd , 2025 It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Chris Norman of the Birmingham Barons. The Birmingham left fielder gave it his all and dominated Tennessee Smokies pitching at Barons Grounds, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Smokies going home the winner, 10-4. "There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Norman said. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead." Chris Norman singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Sanchez in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season, Norman is batting .389 with 14 hits, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, .436 OBP and has scored 5 runs. |
