The Shuckers fell against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos by the score of 12-9. Jerez did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but in the end, Pensacola prevailed at Blue Wahoos Fields. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Jerez said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that."
