Birmingham's Lugo SL Star of the Week Monday, May 11th , 2026 It was an extraordinary week for Miguel Lugo of the Birmingham Barons. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .667, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Southern League. Last week Lugo went 6-for-9, racked up 2 home runs and 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Birmingham third baseman. This year, Lugo has hit at a .352 pace and produced 11 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 9 runs. |
