Pietsch Quits Baseball, Will Pursue Hoops Career Sunday, September 21st , 2025 Mississippi multi-sport star Pat Pietsch has decided to discontinue his baseball career and focus full-time on his basketball career. Despite his love of baseball, Pietsch says he likes his prospects on the hardwood better than the diamond. "It was a tough decision, but I think this is the right one for me," said the Braves third baseman. Pietsch, considered to be a standout small forward, is projected as a 1st round pick in the upcoming pro basketball draft. |
