Julius on Fire: Burns Mississippi with 3 HR Thursday, September 4th , 2025 Montgomery Biscuits first baseman Tim Julius sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Mississippi Braves, Julius told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Julius pushed the Biscuits past the Braves, 13-12. To go along with the homers, he collected 8 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Julius told reporters after the game. Tim Julius hit a two-run home run off Nick Warren in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Nick Warren in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, grounded out in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off Jon McDaniel in the 10th. Julius on the season is batting .364 with 16 home runs. His totals include 35 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 36 games. |
