Smashing Success: Thu Wallops 3 HR Saturday, July 12th , 2025 Dam Thu went on an explosive hitting spree against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Blue Wahoos Fields, launching a trio of blasts to help the Mississippi Braves win, 9-4. The center fielder finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 7 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Thu said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Pensacola skipper Brandon Crabtree said Thu was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Dam Thu hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Gabriel Ventura in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brandon McPherron in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Mike Duran in the 8th. For the season, Thu is hitting .318, batted in 28 runs with 9 home runs and 33 runs scored. |
