Bad Behavior Costs Rubio and Sorensen Thursday, June 19th , 2025 Yesterday at Lookouts Field Danny Rubio and Shane Sorensen got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Tennessee Smokies and Chattanooga Lookouts. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Rubio will have to sit out 4 while Sorensen would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. To date Rubio has chalked up a .275 average with 7 home runs, driven in 24 runs and scored 20 times. |
