Perez Slaps 5 Hits Friday, June 6th , 2025 It was a big day for Mario Perez and he brought the Biloxi Shuckers along for the ride. Perez led his club to victory, 18-9, over the Tennessee Smokies at Smokies Grounds, smoking Tennessee pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 21-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Mario Perez hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Sal Mejia in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th. Batting .667 to date, Perez has 4 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
