Lauria Belts Bunch of Base Hits Friday, May 23rd , 2025 5 times is the charm -- at least for Rick Lauria. The Sacramento River Cats center fielder tore up the Oklahoma City Dodgers to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at River Cats Field. The offensive onslaught from Lauria powered the 8-5 River Cats win. "Lauria was a tough out," Oklahoma City manager Mike Vorhees said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Rick Lauria singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Currently Lauria is batting .269 with 2 home runs and 18 RBIs. |
