Wilson 5-for-6 Against Sugar Land Friday, April 17th , 2026 It seemed that Sacramento center fielder David Wilson could do no wrong as the River Cats KO'd the Skeeters, 15-7. Wilson rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Skeeters hurlers were throwing. "I think the River Cats were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Sugar Land fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Wilson in the postgame press interview. David Wilson doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. So far on the season, Wilson is hitting .480 with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 12 hits and played in 7 games. |
