6-for-6 Day for Bonifacio Friday, April 17th , 2026 It was a sensational day at the plate for David Bonifacio as he led the charge to a nifty 15-7 win over the Skeeters. The Sacramento center fielder was pure misery for the Sugar Land pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 6 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Bonifacio put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jimmy McIlroy, manager for the Skeeters, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." David Bonifacio hit a two-run home run off Doug Hill in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this season in 7 games, Bonifacio is batting .522 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 23 at-bats. |
