5-for-5 Day for Rivas Friday, August 29th , 2025 Armando Rivas was sizzling at the plate. The Tacoma first baseman blistered the Oklahoma City Dodgers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 8-7. "Rivas was too tough to get out today," Dodgers skipper Mike Vorhees said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Armando Rivas hit a two-run home run off Ryan Morris in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 9th. This season, Rivas is batting .359 with 47 hits, 11 home runs, 30 RBIs, 18 walks, .430 OBP and has scored 32 runs. He has played in 35 games. |
