Express Blank El Paso, Bello Winner Tuesday, July 8th , 2025 The El Paso Chihuahuas were almost helpless in their 2-0 loss to the Round Rock Express and hurler Bobby Bello. Bello kept the Chihuahuas confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Bello," El Paso manager Larry Wolfe said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 23-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Bello said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." To date Bello is 6-9 in 17 starts with a 4.86 ERA and has 64 strikeouts in 96.1 innings. |
