Alvarado Batters Sugar Land Big Time Saturday, May 31st , 2025 It was high-fives all around for Zack Alvarado at Sugar Land Stadium. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Sugar Land Skeeters. Alvarado smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-5 win. "Zack was hitting everything," said Bees manager Ajani Edwards. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Skeeters manager Jimmy McIlroy told BNN beat writers that Alvarado "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Alvarado oversleeps next time." Zack Alvarado singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year, Alvarado is batting .333 with 1 home run, 16 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
