Bates Put in Cooler, Hitless Against San Francisco(ACL) Monday, July 13th , 2026 ACL first baseman Noah Bates went 0-for-2 in ACL's 13-6 triumph over the San Francisco(ACL) Giants Orange, snapping his 27-game hitting streak. Bates spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later." "I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though." When Bates made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," Giants Orange manager Ben Barber said of Bates's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here." So far this season, Bates is hitting .424 with 2 home runs. |
