Estrella Powers 3 HR Against San Diego(ACL) Thursday, July 9th , 2026 Carlos Estrella went on an explosive hitting spree against the San Diego(ACL) Padres at PETCO Park, launching a trio of blasts to help the Colorado(ACL) Rockies win, 23-3. The shortstop finished 4-for-6 with 4 runs scored and 8 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Estrella said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." San Diego(ACL) skipper Ben Lamar said Estrella was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Carlos Estrella singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Tyler Alongi in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Keith Detwiler in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Juan Hernandez in the 9th. So far this season, Estrella has recorded a .304 batting average with 14 hits, 3 home runs, 13 RBIs, 5 runs scored and a .340 OBP. |
