Bernett Sizzles -- Smokes Brewers Gold for 5 Hits Tuesday, June 30th , 2026 After a 5-hit effort to lead Texas(ACL)'s 17-3 victory over the Milwaukee(ACL) Brewers Gold, center fielder Jon Bernett told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Arizona Complex League-level is really something special." The 19-year-old player earned his accolades at Brewers Gold Park with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Brewers Gold. "His swing is getting there," said Rangers skipper Victor Mondragon, who spoke glowingly of Bernett after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Jon did that to perfection." Jon Bernett singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
