Super Swinger -- Munoz Slams 5 Hits Sunday, June 21st , 2026 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Mike Munoz. Munoz went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Kansas City(ACL) pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Royals Blue Grounds, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the San Diego(ACL) Padres had a win, 10-5, over the Royals Blue. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Mike Munoz singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This year, Munoz is batting .349 with no home runs. He has scored 5 runs and driven in 3. |
