New York Star Takes Triple Crown Tuesday, October 6th , 2026 New York first baseman Johnny Filkins had a season that places him among the greats, winning the 1st Triple Crown in MLB history. Clearly one of the best players in the National League this year, he compiled a .334 batting average with 190 hits, 32 doubles, 2 triples, 53 home runs and 121 RBIs. His skipper said, "I have been around a few years and have never seen anything like the year Johnny had this year. It was truly remarkable." |
