Cincinnati Celebrates Playoff Clinch Thursday, October 1st , 2026 The Cincinnati Reds don't see themselves as underdogs or long shots to win the World Series. It may have been only a wild card berth the team was celebrating, as opposed to an National League Central Division crown, but that didn't damper the optimism. "I think we're one of the best teams in this league and when it counts, I know we can be the best," said reliever Mike Furry. "No one is going to remember the team that had the best regular season record. They are going to remember the World Series champions and we believe that's going to be us." The Reds have a 85-74 record and will be looking to win the 1st World Series in team history. |
