More Woes for Reds Logan Phillips
Sunday, September 13th , 2026
Logan Phillips is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a rotator cuff strain. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Reds sent the 23-year-old starting pitcher back to the doctors for reexamination. Phillips told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Phillips will now miss a minimum of 2 weeks.
This season, Phillips has worked 151.1 innings with 143 strikeouts en route to a 6-6 record and a 3.87 ERA.
