Alejandre Sizzles in No-Hitter
Sunday, July 12th , 2026
In a dominant outing, David Alejandre of the San Francisco Giants totally silenced the bats of the Detroit Tigers, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 3-0 victory, Alejandre faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 18 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," San Francisco manager Danny Lopez said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Ed Prudhomme had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Giants had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Alejandre pitched a heck of a ballgame."
So far this year, Alejandre has compiled a 8-4 record with a 2.59 ERA.
