Mariners-Athletics Trade: McKinney for Broyles Saturday, July 11th , 2026 There were plenty of hugs and handshakes all around as 26-year old RHP Chris McKinney left the Seattle Mariners today en route to joining the Athletics organization. 23-year old RHP David Peru and 24-year old RHP Justin Broyles will be traveling to Seattle Mariners to complete the swap. This season, in 35 relief appearances, McKinney has rung up 26 saves. He has 40 strikeouts and 7 walks in 39.1 innings while registering a 1.60 ERA and a 1-4 won-lost record. Opposing teams have hit .200 against him. So far this season, Broyles is 2-and-2 with no saves and a 3.27 ERA. He has given up 21 hits in 22 innings with 22 strikeouts. |
