Los Angeles-Cleveland Brawl, Lopez and Putman Suspended Thursday, July 2nd , 2026 Bill Lopez of the Los Angeles Angels and Kyle Putman of the Cleveland Guardians will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Angels-Guardians game at Progressive Field. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Lopez and Putman will begin serving them soon. Currently Lopez has 13 home runs and a .227 batting average. To date this year, Putman has compiled a 9-6 mark with a 3.28 ERA in 17 starts. |
