Texas's Wellman Acclaimed Best AL Hitter Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 Paul Wellman, the Texas first baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .418 batting average with 38 hits, 11 home runs, 24 RBIs and scored 26 times. That kind of hitting earned him the American League Batter of the Month honors for June. In 76 games Wellman is hitting .337 this season with 98 hits, 28 home runs, 68 RBIs, 38 walks, .423 OBP and has scored 61 runs. |
