Chicago, Pittsburgh Trade Players Sunday, June 28th , 2026 The Baseball News Network is reporting that Chicago and Pittsburgh have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 23-year old minor league 2B Jose Morfin and 24-year old minor league LHP Matt Mott to the Pirates with 25-year old minor league RF Danny Valencia joining the Cubs. Chicago general manager Dave Latimer would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league. |
