The numbers that Houston's Cooper Long put up last week were the envy of the league, as Long came away with American League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 11 hits in 19 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs last week as he posted his .579 batting average. This year, Long is hitting .341, produced 51 RBIs and 16 home runs, scored 33 times and gotten on base at a .401 rate. |
