Douglas's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Sunday, June 21st , 2026 Yesterday Chicago catcher Sean Douglas sustained a setback in his recovery from a strained medial collateral ligament. The Cubs medical staff told him it would be at least 1-2 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Douglas told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Douglas worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. On the year, Douglas has hit .289 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 16 runs. |
