Palm Beach's Formosinho Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Tuesday, July 14th , 2026 The Palm Beach Cardinals stopped the Tampa Tarpons by a score of 8-4 at Busch Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Narciso Formosinho. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Formosinho said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Formosinho did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Tarpons. "Not much that I can say," offered Tampa manager David Ebner. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Narciso Formosinho singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. On the season, Formosinho is batting .309 with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. He has played in 52 games. |
