20-Game Hitting Streak for Loya Sunday, July 12th , 2026 Oscar Loya, first baseman for the Tampa Tarpons, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 4-3 victory over the Daytona Tortugas at Tarpons Grounds. "Not the outcome we wanted," Daytona manager Ryan Lynch said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Oscar Loya hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. Currently Loya has 8 home runs and a .355 batting average. |
