Lockwood Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Friday, June 26th , 2026 Chalk up another one for St. Lucie Mets second baseman Randy Lockwood. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Lockwood went 1-for-3 in today's game at Mighty Mussels Ballpark but saw his club defeated, 7-4, by the host Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Mets manager Josh Sturgis said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Randy Lockwood struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd and doubled in the 5th. Thus far this year, Lockwood has hit .348 with 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
