Buckner Sensational, 5-for-5 Monday, September 14th , 2026 It was a sensational day at the plate for Chris Buckner as he led the charge to a nifty 6-5 win over the RubberDucks. The New Hampshire right fielder was pure misery for the Akron pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Buckner put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said David Lindquist, manager for the RubberDucks, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Chris Buckner singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 10th. This season, Buckner has hit at a .195 clip with 8 RBIs, 1 home runs and 5 runs scored. |
