Star of the Week Honored in EL Monday, July 6th , 2026 Not every ball that came off Bobby Young's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Reading Fightin Phils. For his exploits, Young was named this week's Eastern League Player of the Week award. The Reading left fielder put up 12 hits in 24 at-bats and 2 home runs while hitting .500 with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. So far this season, Young is hitting .320 with 8 home runs, 30 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 219 at-bats and a .391 OBP. |
