Hit Streak Now at 20 for Reddin
Thursday, July 2nd , 2026
Win or lose, Tony Reddin just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.
The Hartford Yard Goats first baseman went 2-for-5, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 5-4, by the Somerset Patriots at Patriots Grove.
"It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Tony Reddin flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Hisao Hayashi in the 8th.
So far this season, Reddin has put up a .411 batting average with 44 hits, 6 home runs and 29 RBIs.
