Syracuse Draws Blanks Against Vargas Sunday, July 5th , 2026 Gabe Vargas of the Durham Bulls was lights-out while 2-hitting the Syracuse Mets. "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go," he told BNN reporters after the contest. Vargas registered 6 strikeouts and no walks in shutting out Syracuse, 4-0. To date this season, Vargas has registered 10 starts, 7-3 won-lost mark, 1.56 ERA, 69.1 IP, 46 strikeouts and 23 walks. Opposing teams have hit .240 against him. |
