IL Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Puente Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 When Ricky Puente stepped up to the plate in June he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the International League Batter of the Month award. The young Iowa shortstop posted a .375 batting average with 10 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 20 runs. Puente also worked pitchers for 14 walks to post a .455 on-base percentage. Currently Puente is batting .292 with 17 home runs, 46 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
