Wednesday, June 17th , 2026
The Scranton WB RailRiders were almost helpless in their 6-0 loss to the Iowa Cubs and hurler Kyle McMillian. McMillian kept the RailRiders confused all game, spinning a 2-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to McMillian," Scranton WB manager Jerry Flaster said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 23-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," McMillian said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
In 9 starts this season, McMillian has crafted a 5-3 record with a 2.72 ERA.
