The New York Mets needed 14 innings to defeat the Lake Wylie Renegades, 10-8, at Renegades Field. New York catcher Franklin Robles had a superb performance. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The win went to Alex Amaro in relief, making him now 2-0. Bob Martin took the loss for Lake Wylie. The victory gives New York a record of 79-73.

New York needed the clutch hitting of Chris Anderson to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Mets on top, 8-7. For the game, Anderson had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"We take it day by day here," said Anderson, "and today was a good one for us."
