Nationals Take Down Rockets, 4-3
|
Nationals Park was the site of quite a ballgame.
The River Hills Rockets got a sterling performance from pitcher Carlos Mujica, but the Washington Nationals still prevailed, 4-3. Mujica threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Washington reliever Mike Ogle got the win, raising his record to 2-5. Danny Tindale was tagged with the loss.
Danny Ochoa was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Ochoa described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
Washington is now 67-80, River Hills 60-87.
