The New York Yankees coasted to a win over the River Hills Rockets, 10-1. Frank Johnson had a good day at the plate for New York. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. New York pitcher Paul Scott got the win. He's now 6-7. Steve Vaughan was tagged with the loss. New York is now 40-51, River Hills 34-58.

The Yankees got a big boost from shortstop Brian Moore who had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the first inning off Rockets hurler Steve Vaughan. It was his 28th RBI of the season and put New York on top, 2-1.
