Toronto Upended, 4-1, by Lake Wylie
|
Chad Harris did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Toronto Blue Jays from being beaten, 4-1, to the Lake Wylie Renegades at Renegades Field. Harris went 1-2 with a home run. Michael Ceja earned his 21st save in 24 chances. The National League East Division-leading Renegades have a record of 49-42.
Lake Wylie third baseman Martin Albarran contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 66th hit of the season and put the Renegades ahead, 3-1.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Renegades manager Scott Barber, "I like our chances."
