The Cincinnati Reds topped the River Hills Rockets, 8-1, in National League action at River Hills Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cincinnati pitcher Jeremy Holley. Holley yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. Cincinnati raised its record to 48-38 with the win.

In the top of the second, Holley had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Steve Vaughan that staked the Reds to a 2-0 lead.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Cincinnati manager Chris Galindo.
