Colorado Field was host to some action-packed drama.

The Colorado Rockies had to overcome a fine effort from Lake Wylie pitcher Cory Corriveau to win, 4-2, at Colorado Field. Corriveau went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jason Sullivan, now 2-3, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0.

Colorado got a clutch hit from Juan Rolon. The shortstop launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"What a buzz," said Rolon after it was over.

With the win, Colorado pushed its record to 42-37.
